Wolves
Wolves is a short form of Wolverhampton Wanderers. The club started in 1877 as St Luke's FC, formed by two pupils from St Luke's Church School in Blakenhall, and merged with Blakenhall Wanderers in August 1879 to become Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Old Gold is the shirt colour, paired with black shorts, and the gold and black reflects the council motto "out of darkness cometh light".
