AFC Wimbledon Women
AFC Wimbledon Women are a women's football club from south-west London, nicknamed the Dons. The club has an unusual origin tied to one of English football's most famous fan-ownership stories: it was formed in 2003 when the women's team that had represented the original Wimbledon FC chose to join the newly created, supporter-owned AFC Wimbledon rather than follow the old club's relocation to Milton Keynes. That decision rooted the women's side firmly in the reborn, community-owned club, and it has carried the AFC Wimbledon name and identity ever since.
