The Tractor Girls
Tractor Boys is recent and began as a jibe. In September 2000, while Ipswich were winning 2-1 at Leeds, the home fans chanted that they were being beaten by a bunch of tractor drivers, a dig at Suffolk's farming heritage. Opposing fans kept using it and Ipswich supporters embraced it and now the ladies team have adopted it too.
The club's other nickname, the Blues, comes from the blue shirts worn since 1936-37. The club was founded in October 1878.
