The Lionesses
The name began with Millwall Lionesses, who linked up with Millwall, known as the Lions, and became the first women's team to affiliate with a professional men's club. In 2019 the women's side split from Millwall and became London City Lionesses, keeping the Lionesses identity. A separate Millwall Lionesses team was formed inside Millwall that same year.
