Sporting Khalsa Women were established in 2015 through a merger with FC Reedswood, a club founded in 2004, and have grown into one of the West Midlands' leading female football programmes. They're the women's side of Sporting Khalsa FC — a club with a distinctive place in English football, founded in 1991 by members of the local Sikh community around Walsall, and the first British Asian club in the country to own its own ground. The women's setup reflects that community ethos, fielding around nine female teams and running weekly development sessions for girls, creating a clear pathway from grassroots through to the senior side. On the pitch they've climbed the pyramid to reach the FA Women's National League, playing their home games at the Aspray Arena in Willenhall. Nicknamed Sporting, they carry the club's inclusive, ambitious identity into the women's game.
