Portishead Town Women are the women's side of Portishead Town FC, a North Somerset club nicknamed Posset that traces its roots to 1912. The women's team climbed the South West pyramid through back-to-back promotions into the regional Premier Division, and earned promotion to the fourth-tier FA Women's National League South West for the 2021/22 season. They've made a habit of eye-catching Women's FA Cup runs — reaching the first round proper in 2019/20, where they lost to Southampton Women, and going a step further in 2022/23 by reaching the third round proper for the first time in the club's history before succumbing to Ipswich Town. They lifted the Somerset Women's Senior Cup in 2025/26, and run reserve and third teams beneath the first, part of one of the largest community clubs in the South West with nearly 900 junior members.
