Lye Town Women are the women's side of Lye Town FC, one of the longest-established football clubs in the West Midlands — the men's club, nicknamed the Flyers, was founded in 1930 in the Black Country town of Lye near Stourbridge and plays at the Sports Ground. The women's team competes in the regional women's pyramid, part of a club that has expanded its range of teams in recent years, giving local players in the Black Country a competitive pathway under the Lye Town banner.
