Bridgwater United W.F.C.
Bridgwater United Women have one of the most well-travelled identities in the women's game. The club was founded in 1990 as Yetminster Ladies, and over the following decades passed through a string of names — Sherborne Ladies, then Yeovil Town Ladies, then Yeovil United — before finally settling as Bridgwater United and moving to Somerset. Under their Yeovil identity the club reached the top flight of English women's football following promotion in 2016, a high point in a long climb through the pyramid. Along the way they picked up regional honours including the South West Combination League Trophy and back-to-back Somerset FA Women's Senior Cups in the early 2010s. Nicknamed the Robins, they remain a well-established name in south-west women's football.
