Everton Women

Everton Women trace their roots to 1983, when they were founded as Hoylake WFC on the Wirral. They rose to prominence later that decade as Leasowe Pacific — the name taken after a merger and a sponsorship deal — reaching the Women's FA Cup final in 1988 and winning it the following year in the first-ever televised women's final. After dominating the regional game, they adopted Everton's name and blue colours in 1995. The club's crowning achievement came in 1998, when they were crowned National Premier League champions for the only time in their history, and they added the Women's FA Cup in 2010 with a dramatic extra-time win over Arsenal. Founder members of the Women's Super League in 2011, Everton have produced a stream of England internationals through their long-running academy, and turned fully professional in 2018 — becoming the first women's team to launch a kit by a Premier League club.
