Cheltenham Town W.F.C

Cheltenham Town Women started life in 1989 as a five-a-side team called Cheltenham YMCA, before growing into eleven-a-side football and joining the South-West Combination League as founding members in 1998. Nicknamed the Robinesses, they had a long, patient climb — a relegation and twelve seasons in the South-West League along the way — before a runners-up finish in 2013/14 lifted them into the national pyramid. Winning Division One South West in 2021/22 took them up to the Southern Premier. The club describes itself as the leading women's side in Gloucestershire, with a membership approaching 150 and a full girls' pathway, and now groundshares at Kayte Lane in Bishop's Cleeve. In 2024/25 they reached the fourth round of the Women's FA Cup and their first FA National League Plate final.
